Pass the platter, take the platter,
the girls are serving dishes
on the Sabbath of Hanukkah.

to light the candle of Hanukkah. The wine from the evening meal,
which I like so very much,
to drink it on Hanukkah.
Eight days ... Put the meat in the oven,
we’ll play a fine santur (zither)
on the Sabbath of Hanukkah.

give some for the neighbor to taste,
may it be her medicine!
