Lyrics:

Translation:
- Get up, my husband, get up from the bed,
I have no flour at home, I'm quarreling with the neighbor,
also in the early morning.
The husband comes through the door, the lover through the window.
- Where shall I hide you, my soul? Where shall I hide you, my dear?
also in the early morning.
Where could I hide him? In the pepper box.
The husband was coming, the lover was sneezing,
also in the early morning.
- Ah, woman, my woman, who's sneezing in the pepper box?
- The neighbor’s cat, who catches the mice,
also in the early morning.
- Ah, woman, my woman, I want to see how he catches them!
- I lost the key to the box, and don’t know where to find it,
also in the early morning.
He took the axe in his hand, and broke the pretty box,
He took the axe in his hand, and broke the pretty box,
also in the early morning.
- Neighbors, my neighbors, come, you’ll see wonders:
a little cat with a beard, and twisted little mustaches,
also in the early morning.
