Description

Jerusalem National Sound Archives placement: Yc1402/31

This is one of the songs sung at the end of the Passover meal. It is a cumulative song which is performed at length, thus complying with the rabbinical precept of extending the Passover meal as long as possible in order to recount the exodus from Egypt by the hand of God. It is similar in content to Echad mi yodea from the hagada. This song has versions from both the Ottoman area and the area of North Morocco and Gibraltar.
