La Tora, La Tora 2

Lyrics

La tora , la tora ,
Mushonico la dira
con el pan y el queso
y el libric' al pecho.

- A meldar se va a ir en derecho
- Onde vas, hijico de buen jidio?
- A meldar la ley del Dio
El Dio que te guadre
a ti y a tu madre
y a tu siñor
que es un buen jidió,
y a la cumadre
que t'arrecibió.

El haham t’aharvara
La bulisa ti ‘scapara
El baba te dira
Vente mil baruh haba
Que ya vino el hijo de meldar

Translation

The Torah, the Torah,
Mushonico will speak of it
with bread and cheese
and the book on his chest.

- To learn the law, he will go straight
- Where are you going, son of a good Jew?
- To learn the law of God
- God will protect you
and your mother
and your father
who is a good Jew,
and the midwife
who received you.

The rabbi will beat you
The rabbi's wife will save you
Your father to you will say
Twenty thousand welcomes
For the arrival of the son of knowledge (reading)
