In later epic poems like Las Mocedades de Rodrigo, the legend of El Cid includes the tale of him killing Jimena Gómez's father, after which the king resolves the conflict by marrying them—a story preserved in 16th-century ballads and oral traditions from Morocco, Andalusia, and Portugal.
Sephardic tradition often fuses two epic themes: first, a legendary Castilian invasion of France under Ferdinand I, as seen in medieval chronicles; second, a family conflict after Ferdinand’s death, where Sancho II imprisons his brother Alfonso, and their sister Urraca pleads for his release. Different versions have different names for the heroic sister, in this version we hear  Donia Inacia but other names are also found such as Donia Alda or Donia Arda.

Lyrics:

Rey Fernando, rey Fernando     de Toledo y Aragón,
y al pasar con los franceses    dentro de la Francia entró.
Halló la Francia revuelta,     no hubo quien la apaciguó;
- Buenos días, do[n] mi hermano, do[n] mi hermano y mi señor:
t'acordás, cuando chiquita,    me dates un bofetón;

Translation:

King Ferdinand, King Ferdinand of Toledo and Aragon,
and as he passed with the French into France, he entered.
He found France in turmoil, and there was no one to calm it;
he put his brother in prison and took his brother captive.
And, after he was captured, he ordered a proclamation to be issued:
whoever prayed for him will have his merit diminished
whether nun or monk, he would take away their religious standing
Lady Inacia, Lady Inacia, Lady Inacia, early in the day,
took off her usual clothes, put on those of Easter,
with a hundred of her maidens, she entered the court.
- Good morning, my brother, my brother and my lord:
Do you remember, when I was little, you slapped me;
